Bollywood actress Riya Chakraborty has been granted bail almost a month after actor-boyfriend Sushant Singh was jailed for buying drugs for Rajput.
Rajput (34) was found dead in his flat on June 14. Police said he died at the time.
But the case took an unexpected turn when his family accused Chakraborty of committing suicide, sparking months of media coverage and speculation.
Chakraborty has denied any wrongdoing.
Chakraborty's lawyer told BBC Marathi that he would be released from jail later on Wednesday.
Her brother, Shikik, was also arrested in the same drugs case, but has not been granted bail. He has also denied the allegations.
Chakraborty has been trolled online for months, on which Rajput has become addicted to drugs and has led to suicide. Allegations of murder also surfaced while three different federal agencies were investigating the case.

Why is Indian TV obsessed with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput?
But a panel of doctors from the Institute l India Institute of Medical Sciences, one of India's largest public hospitals, last week reported a murder verdict to India's investigating agency.
Dr Sudhir Gupta, who led the panel, told local media earlier this week that Sushant's death was a case of suicide.
According to reports, Chakraborty and Rajput started dating in the summer of 2019 and went together in December. On June 8, a week before Rajput's death, Chakraborty went to live with his parents and was not at home when the actor died.
After his death, newspaper reports suggest he was dealing with mental health issues.
But within a few days, the focus shifted to Chakraborty and the next 28-year-old actress soon found herself at the center of allegations, conspiracy theories, rumors and unsatisfactory reports.
Other Bollywood actresses, including Deepika Padukone, were also questioned by the country's Narcotics Board after Chakraborty's arrest.
This is part of what seems to be a parallel investigation of widespread drug claims in Bollywood. The agency questioned at least four actresses but no one was charged with malpractice
