: This debate started from the year 1951, and now this debate has reached a decisive phase.
After the reconstruction of Somnath temple in Gujarat, its inauguration date was kept and the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad was called, Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru wanted 'religious issues to be kept separate from the issues of the nation' and he made Rajendra Advised Prasad that he should not be a part of this program.
The reconstruction of the demolished Somnath temple after the invasions of Muslim kings several times over the centuries began in 1947 when the then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel visited the temple.
Nehru was concerned that the vocal support of the Government of India to such a program would further increase the cracks created among the people after partition. Nehru wrote in a letter to Rajendra Prasad, "I think that in the case of Somnath Temple, such a large-scale program, at this time, I do not think it appropriate."
Dr. Rajendra Prasad did not listen to Nehru's advice and participated in the program. However, he went there and stressed on 'Gandhian ideology, secularism and peace restoration'.
: Efforts are being made to compare the reconstruction of Somnath temple and the foundation stone ceremony of the Ram temple going to be held in Ayodhya on 5 August 2020, but the comparison of these two is not correct.
Firstly, the President is not the chief guest of the Ram temple program as was the case with the Somnath temple. The then Prime Minister was telling the people associated with the government to stay away from this program, now the Prime Minister is going to lay the silver bricks in the foundation with his own hands.
And 'large scale programs' are taking place at a time when the whole world is battling the corona virus epidemic and the number of cases of Kovid-19 in India is increasing rapidly, even the country's home minister got infected. Huh.
What is the time capsule that is being talked about in the Ram temple
Ayodhya temple foundation stone: questions about Muhurta, Corona and Bihar elections
The economy is very sluggish and from the perspective of India's eastern border security remains a matter of concern. In such a situation, not only the Ram Mandir program is being organized on a high scale, but the entire nation is being prepared for this festive atmosphere.
: Question faith
Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, is one of the most beautiful cities in India, is situated on the banks of river Saryu and has a rich history of the city.
This place, which believes in Buddhism, is called Saket. On 15 July, Azad Buddhism led a fast in which Buddhist monks claimed that the courtyard of Ram Janmabhoomi is an ancient Buddhist land and UNESCO should investigate this place by digging.
Similarly, Jain and Sikh have also been telling their relationship with this place. The Babri Masjid has been in this place for 400 years. That is, overall it has been a center of mixed culture of India and if it had political will, it could be re-established in the same way.
But it is being made a means of serving different types of political loaves, in which 'faith' is being used to make a difference between people and to create cracks in the young generation of India.
