Asia air founder bulid super app and chess information

AirAsia founder Tony Fernandes is building what he hopes will be the region's next "super app" as he relates to the downturn of coronovirus travel.

He wants to bump up the likes of Grab, Gojek and WeChat with all-in-one apps for food delivery, shopping, payment, entertainment and travel.

As the airline's boss, he is looking at new ways to generate income while his planes were demolished.

AirAsia has struggled during the epidemic and has cut 30% of its workforce.

In an interview with the BBC, Mr Fernandes said that he has spent his time improving AirAsia app and the company's payment platform Bigpay.

The recession was in some ways a blessing because it allowed us to focus more on it.  It takes a lot of our time to run an airline but we have been given the opportunity and time to focus on our digital business.  "

AirAsia already has a "rich database" of more than 60 million users as its starting point.

The AirAsia app, which also provides a messaging service to users, has set its sights on super apps such as Singapore-based Grab, Indonesia's GoJek and China's Meituan.

AirAsia has always been a digital company.   ”said Mr. Fernandes, a major shareholder of English football club Queens Park Rangers (QPR).

Mr.  Fernandes's airline has now become Asia's largest budget carrier.

India and Russia have been declared joint winners of a major international chess tournament after two Indian players lost internet connection during the final round.

The online version of the Chess Olympiad tournament is being held for the first time this year due to coronovirus.

India appealed after two of its players lost connection with their games and forced their timely confiscation.

Officials said these were "unprecedented circumstances".

Arkadi Darorkovich, President, said, "The online chess Olympiad has been affected by a global Internet outage which badly affects many countries including India. Two Indian players have been affected and lost connections."  The International Chase Federation said in a statement

He said he decided to give both teams gold medals "in the absence of a unanimous decision" from the body's appeals committee.

Teams from over 160 countries have participated in this year's online event, which began in July.

But the final is not the first time the tournament has been screened.

Armenia said on Friday that one of its players was cut off from the server during the quarter-final match against India, and lost on time.

The 44th Chess Olympiad was scheduled to take place in Russia this month, but was postponed until the following year due to an epidemic.

Google New details

. Google's new plan released in UK, US and Spain   The tech giant says it is incorporating new technology into the cable, which they claim is a significant upgrade to the old existing line.   The project is completed by 2022.   Google estimates that underwater data cables are important for global communications, which contain about 98% of the world's information.   Cables are usually made by telecommunications companies - usually a group of them pulling sources - which are then charged to use other companies.  The latest cable, called "Grace Ha Ce Par", after the American computer scientist and Admiral behind the Navy, will hit the UK at Bude in Cornwall.  It is Google's fourth privately owned undersea cable  But Google needs "increasing amounts of transatlantic bandwidth," said John Delaney, a telecommus analyst at IDC.   “Creating its own cables helps them choose the best cable route,” he said, and is close to d...
